Office Volunteers Summer is here and some of our office volunteers have gone north. If you are interested in helping out in the office over the quieter months of summer please contact Judy or Darby in the office (472-0497). It's a fun way to spend a few hours of your day and give back to the church. |

Undated Opportunities Local Food Pantry Volunteers needed: The new South Fort Myers Food Pantry located behind Cypress Lake Presbyterian Church will be opening on Mondays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. We are being asked to help on the first Monday of each month. If you are available then (or on another Monday) please talk with one of the ministers. Emergency Management: If you are a Sanibel resident with special needs or if you know of a friend or neighbor who may require assistance during or after a disaster, evacuation or emergency, register now for the City of Sanibel's Emergency Management Special Needs Program. Call 472-3111. What would you like to do in our church? Scripture says we’ve each been gifted with different talents, experience and interests for ministry. We would like to know about yours! Please take time to consider and contact Sandy Boler at the church office 472-0497. "Marthas," people who help serve the reception after memorial services, are needed. If you live on the Island, we could especially use your help occasionally. Sign up in Fellowship Hall. Harry Chapin Food Bank Needs Volunteers - they are expecting 3 million pounds of food to distribute to the hungry this year. Volunteers are urgently needed to separate the beans from the tomatoes and soups from the stews so that newly packaged boxes of food can be distributed to agencies which help feed the hungry. The Food Bank is located at 2126 Alicia Street. Please call 334-7007 for more information and to volunteer. CCMI: We donate non-perishable food on the first Sunday of each month and deliver it to Community Cooperative Ministries, Inc. (CCMI) where it is used to round out menus in the Soup Kitchen and fill food bags for needy families. This year’s sign-up sheet for food delivery is in Fellowship Hall. Help us to help others by signing up today. |
